Self-doubt vs. Self-Inflation

“Remember that self-doubt is as self-centered as self-inflation. Your obligation is to reach as deeply as you can and offer your unique and authentic gifts as bravely and beautifully as you’re able.”
Bill Plotkin, Nature and the Human Soul: Cultivating Wholeness and Community in a Fragmented World

I love this quote. Especially when I fall into my own victim-like or ‘small self’ thinking, it reminds me that I have not only a choice, but  an obligation to choose differently for myself and my people.

My duty and my commitment, therefore, is to share myself and my gifts as courageously as possible this year (and beyond).
