This morning, perched at the edge of the Pacific, I watched as a magnificent Pelican soared and rose, glided and dived, over the rising and falling sea.

In observing this elegant dance, I noticed that the strong bird waited for the next wave before trying to take off.  It didn’t just start flapping its wings arbitrarily; it patiently paused for the swell to build before using the water to ascend.

Smart bird.

I am reminded, once again, that all things are cyclical, and the wisdom of patience while in the valley.
